Inspired by the drought of 2022, we’ve ranked universities by how much water they extract from boreholes.

Volume is based on volume taken, not the licensed volume, obviously. Excludes mains supplied water, also obviously.

All data is borrowed with pride from hesa.ac.uk, and is for 2020/21.

We have a borehole here at Bantshire. We bottle the water and sell it to Alumni for a tidy profit.
